Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994 after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995. 3. Research and Strategy Officer

Skills Competencies & Educational background

BA Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics or related discipline plus a minimum of four (4) years related experience required in financial industry.

4. Senior – Network Administrator

Qualification & Experience:

BSc Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology with a minimum of six (6) years of work experience in hardware and network troubleshooting relevant IT experiences.

Required Knowledge & Skills

*        CCNA certification is required (Mandatory Additional certifications from Microsoft or any other industry is that is related to networking is advantageous.

Experience in Microsoft Windows servers and network monitoring tools. Good Knowledge of networking, including: TCP/IP, Ethernet, WAN, Switching and Routing, Network service Protocols and Active Directory, LDAP.

Job Summary:

The job holder is responsible for both business and technical insights to the work of gathering business requirements and objectives, producing a blueprint for the integrated network services, and effectively advocating for the necessary business investments to support the technology deployment. He/she also ensures optimal design, operation, interoperability and performance of enterprise network, intranets, extranets, security and related hardware and software including routers, switches, network servers, network security, VoIP and wireless technologies.

5. Senior – Database Administrator

Skills Competencies & Educational background

BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Science & Computer Engineering and with a minimum of six (6) years in Database administration or related field; three (3) of which should be in a senior/equivalent role preferably in the banking sector.

Required Knowledge & Skills

– Knowledge of two or more RDBMS technologies (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL server & Knowledge of advanced SQL)

– Advanced knowledge of operating systems preferably AIX, Linux. Storages, network and security knowledge. Knowledge of high availability (HA) and Disaster recovery options. Knowledge of indexes, index management and statistics. Problem solving & Presentation skill of technical Information.

Job Summary:

The job holder is responsible for the usage, accuracy, efficiency, security, maintenance, administration and development of an organization’s computerized database(s), providing support to some or all departments depending on the size and network connectivity. S/he develops and changes the data management plan and models consistent with the needs/direction of the bank. The jobholder coordinates the creation and implementation of the data management plans and models when data integrity, backup, and security have become an increasingly important aspect of the work.

He/She also participates in network configuration tasks that is assigned by his / her supervisor.

Job Summary:

The Job holder is responsible to plan, organize, lead, and control the IFB product Development division. S/he is responsible for IFB product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with various work units to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. S/he ensures that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. The jobholder continually collects and analyses relevant market and competitor information to assess market position and identify threats and opportunities.
