Job Purpose:
The purpose of the WASH & Infrastructure officer is to ensure that all the WASH aspects detailed in the project including hygiene promotion at community and health facility level, rehabilitation and maintenance of WASH infrastructure at community and health facility level; are undertaken in a professional manner as per the standard design, specification and guidelines of the project and WASH cluster. The WASH officer ensures that the project proposal and plans are on time on budget, adhere to national, cluster, international, and Concern guidelines. The WASH officer will work closely and liaise with the government health structure including the Regional Health Bureau, Woreda Health and Water offices, other implementing agencies, other Concern teams and the community. He/She is this charged to ensure collaboration with all the relevant stakeholders at all levels of the project implementation; kebele, Woreda and at the regional level.
Skills Competencies & Educational background
Person specification:
- BSc. in Hydraulics, Sanitary or Water Resource Engineering and related fields from recognized university.
- At least four (4) years relevant work experiences in WASH activities at community, health institutions and schools both for emergency and development settings.
- Appropriate technical skills training and computer software; practical knowledge of Autocad is a must.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Local language (Somali) is mandatory.

The purpose of the position is to manage Concern world wide’s Emergency Nutrition Response Project supported by HPP, in HR/Admin and Finance activities in line with professional principles and Concern Worldwide Ethiopia’s rules and regulation. & co-ordinate and manage Concern’s fleet to ensure efficient and effective operation in the Office. Provide effective and efficient HR and Admin related services to staff working for the Office.
Skills Competencies & Educational background
Person specification:
- BA Degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Management and related field of studies with minimum of three years or five years relevant experience respectively.
- Profound experience in finance, administration, logistics and HR Management.
- Computer literate.
- NGO experience in emergency projects is an advantage.
- Good communication and report writing skills.

Job purpose
Gender mainstreaming Officer is responsible for supporting Concern team in the area of Gender mainstreaming, Cross cutting issues. He /she will play a role in the implementation of gender transformative training for north area coordination office and in the implementation of gender sensitive programming, including Concern’s engaging men and boys approach.
Skills Competencies & Educational background
- Bachelor’s degree in such as social science (research related), Monitoring and Evaluation, statistics, Nutrition/Health Monitoring, Public health etc. and other relevant fields of studies (related to M&E, development, research, data analytics, etc.) with over two years of relevant experience .
- Experience in humanitarian programming in addition to development programming is an advantage.
- Clear understanding and experience in directly implementing primary quantitative data collection (surveys, etc.).
- Clear understanding and experience in directly implementing primary qualitative data collection (key informant interviews, focus group discussion, participatory qualitative methods, etc.).
- Clear understanding and experience of quality assurance in data collection .
- Ability to provide technical advice and support.
- Experience of providing training and capacity building to programme and M & E staff.
- Excellent communication skills; able to work as part of a team and establish relationships with field offices.
Competencies:
- Ability and willingness to frequently travel and stay at the field
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization developing effective working relationships to deliver outstanding results for children.
- Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach staff and working with community member
