1:. Cash Transfer Officer – (URGENT)

Location: Sibusire, Oromia

Salary: Gross $1,000

Employment type: Contract

Job Summary:

Under the Direct supervision of Project Coordinator the cash transfer Officer is responsible for identifying priority needs, target communities, establishing relationships with community local government and leaders, mobilize the communities, ensure the delivery of cash, conduct registration of complaints, ensure proper distribution and documentation of cash transfers, facilitate cash payments to clients and follow up.

Key Responsibilites:

Participate in program and sector planning processes to support the team to develop work plans, budget forecasts, and monitoring tools in line with DPO’ Program Management Standards .
Provide technical guidance and support on the startup, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of cash transfer activities.
Develop and facilitate team access to tools for use in beneficiary selection processes, registration, disbursement, and monitoring
Coordinate the necessary internal and external support to ensure implementation of sector activities is in line with agreed work plans, strategies and methodologies. Promptly identify and recommend solutions to cash based technical issue
Actively participate in cash sector platforms, cluster and working groups and ensure accurate and timely sharing of information.
Participate in the process of identifying beneficiary communities/targeting based on robust and participatory criteria, assist other project staffs, if any
Ensure appropriate community messages are transferred to beneficiaries, local government partners, vendors, non-clients and other key actors
Ensure the conduct of beneficiary feedback and response mechanism (BFRM) activities are undertaken
Work with and provide timely technical support to the DPO’s implementing partners; maintain encouraging and constructive relations with partner staff
Closely work with all DPO field team
Fully align with DPO safety and security procedures and provide support to security monitoring and assessments ensure a safe and secure environment for program implementation
Coordinate the cash transfer assistant.
Assist in the collection of data, conduct of assessments (needs, market, risks and security) and provide input for concept note/ proposal development for cash transfer project in collaboration with the local community structures and community members
Monitor progress against grant work plan; promptly identifying any current or potential delays
Assist his/her supervisors to ensure all monitoring activities are fully detailed, including systematic and timely data required under the grant and for DPO MEAL purposes.
Aware the communities, and partners to consider cash response as one modality at appropriate situation.
Build very good team sprit with DPO program and supporting staffs at field, at office level including Addis.

skill and education  Requirement

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, social works and social administration, development studies
  • Experience:Minimum of 3 years in humanitarian sector
    Experience of implementing cash assistance project
    Knowledge of local language is a must
    Skills:

Excellent presentation and report writing skills.
Ability to effectively develop rapport and relate to donors, partners, and government stakeholders, beneficiaries.

Commitment to capacity building and people development.
Knowledge of humanitarian aid standards as well as accountability standard
Networking and collaboration skills
Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and negotiate, taking into account cultural and language difficulties.
Professional, motivated, open, creative, mature, responsible, flexible and, culturally sensitive
Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets
