1.Call for applicants of Supervisors and Data collectors
Location: Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa City Administrations, Afar, Amhara, Benishangul-
Gumuz, Gambella, Harari, Oromia, Sidama, Central Ethiopia and South Ethiopia (SNNP). Somali, South West Ethiopia, and Tigray Regions.
Duration: 30 days including training and traveling
The required number of data collectors:80-100
The required number of supervisors:16-20
Payment:
1200 birr per day for the supervisor and transport cost
1100 birr per day for the data collector and transport cost
Job Description:
The World Health Organization (WHO) awarded the Post Measles Campaign Coverage Survey (PMCCS) Project to the Ethiopian Statistical Association (ESA). The overarching objective of the Post Measles Campaign Coverage Survey is to validate the measles vaccination campaign conducted in 2022/2023 children aged 6/9 months to 59 months at nationwide (all regional states and two city administrations) through cluster household survey using enumeration areas (EAs). Thus, ESA would like to hire competent and successful data collectors and supervisors across all regional states and two city administrations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities of Supervisors:
Attend data collection training
Prepare a target–based plan for field data collection.
Provide on-the-job training for data collectors.
Manage survey instruments
Ensure and follow the ethical standards of the research
Contact with local administrators
Control data quality through interview, callback and surprise supervision
Identify key challenges provide timely solutions.
Communicate with regional coordinators and project technical team
Prepare field progress report on daily and weekly basis with high quality
Maintain and respect safeguard policy and research
Agree and accept to carry out the task even the area is very remote with any means of transportation.
ESA is not liable for damage and loss of individual properties and life.
Major Duties and Responsibilities of Data Collector:
Attend data collection training
Prepare data collection plan
Map and list Households
Select eligible Households
Conduct interviews.
Collect data using Kobo Toolbox.
Keep properly survey instruments.
Prepare field progress report on daily and weekly basis.
Maintain data security.
Maintain and respect safeguard policy and research ethics.
Willing to travel far remote area with local means of transportation.

skill and education Requirement
Bachelor’s degree or above in statistics, public health, or a highly related fields.
Basic knowledge of digital data collecting tools such as ODK, CsPro, Survey Solution and Survey CTO.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage and describe complex questions in a simple, understandable manner.
Excellent Skills, with the ability to collect, significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Fluent speaker of the local language.
The data collection & supervisory tasks will be conducted using the personal electronic devices (8 hours functional Smart Phone), which is taken as a mandatory requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Members of the ESA and females are highly encouraged to apply for the jobs.
Applicant with more than two working area language fluent speakers.
Experience:
Show proven experience as a supervisor and data collector at least for two years.
The candidate needs to show at least two years of experience in the jobs to which he or she wants to apply.
Work Locations:
All regions and city administrations listed above, zone groups/ strata and sample enumeration areas (EAS).
