1: Senior Finance and subventions Management Officer

However, Management Science for Health( MSH) welcomes you to join their team, If you’re a job seeker looking for instigative opportunities.  Location Addis Ababa  Main purpose of the job  Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, Administration, and Grants Management, the Senior Finance & Grants Management Officer supports the Activity of financial and grants management, assists issuance and monitoring of subgrants and facilitates capacity building training to subgrantees. In addition, the position holder assists in budget preparation and budget revisions and oversees the financial functions of the Activity to provide visionary support for the smooth flow of funds and timely submission of invoices liquidations. The incumbent provides a wide range of support and supervision to ensure contractual, donor, organizational, and original laws are compiled and also leads the Activity cost share planning and collection. The position holder will work closely with the Senior Compliance Officer in the planning and execution of compliance review and audit.

Skill and educational background

Required BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field. Preferred Master’s in finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Required Minimum Experience  Required A minimum of 6 years ’ work experience in Accounting, Finance, Administration, Subaward management, & compliance and assurance. Experience in USAID-funded projects of analogous nature, and good knowledge of USAID rules and regulations. Preferred Strong understanding and experience in the application of USG  fiscal, sub-award, and compliance requirements. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles( GAAP) and/ or international public sector accounting standards (IPSAS) application and reporting.

Knowledge and Skills 

  • Knowledge of United States Government( USG) rules and regulations in financial and subaward management.
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate different accounting software, similar to QuickBooks Online.
  • Excellent ability with Microsoft Office applications especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent  logical skill
