We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Specialist: Data Analytics and Insights – Digital Financial Services role within the Digital Financial Services (DFS) business unit. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Detailed Description
Reporting to Manager – Strategy, Planning & Analysis, the role holder will be responsible for data analytics & insights in order to drive business performance, customer experience and product innovation. The role also works with the product managers, DFS partners and DFS Senior Leadership Team to proactively generate insights that will inform product and business strategy.
Key Responsibility:
- Periodic descriptive analytics to highlight past/current performance and trends.
- Actionable insights and recommendations based on such past performance on business growth/optimization opportunities and corrective measures.
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting, in a dynamic business environment.
- Design & employ predictive analytics models to drive product innovation and improve customer experience.
- Responding to data related queries from across the Digital Financial Services team.
- Using specialist & automated tools to extract data needed from both primary and secondary sources.
- Presenting information generated by data to products team, sales teams and the senior leadership team within Digital Financial services.
- By working with other stakeholders, ensure continued integrity and completeness of data for use by the Digital Financial Services.
- Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets to drive business growth and customer experience.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement data driven solutions.
- Provide qualitative & quantitative input to the DFS pricing workstream and ensure all prices/tariffs are in line with the strategic objectives and business sustainability.

Technical / Professional Competencies:
- Minimum 3 years working experience in data analytics and insights role.
- An undergraduate or masters degree in Statistics/Mathematics, Computer Science or any other relevant field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Ms Excel.
- Proficiency in using SQL to query and analyze data.
- Knowledge of other data analysis and statistical tools such as Python & R.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like PowerBI or Qlik Sense.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data storage and retrieval systems.
- Ability to identify patterns and trends in data.
- Ability to work with large data sets using multiple tools such as Power query, SQL, Python, R etc.
