Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Science/Information System from a recognized institution.
5+years’ experience in managing and supporting IT infrastructure and services preferably with an international NGO.
Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Windows 2012 R2, network devices (Router, Firewall, Switches, Access Point, Network Printer, Network Attached Device) configuration and troubleshooting, business application/systems support, good knowledge of Google Workspace, IT service/customer management, knowledge on video conference system.
Proficiency in English (written/spoken).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities & essential job functions include but not limited to the following: IT Management and Administration
Manage and follow-up the execution of all IT tasks in the organization. Identify gaps in daily business activities and suggest or implement available IT solutions and services.
Managing IT Incidents, issues and problems in an effective manner to deliver appropriate and timely solutions.
Maintain the server room to have a reliable IT environment and plan for business continuity in case of service interruption.
Properly install, configure and manage Servers, MF printers, UPS, VC system, and networking devices which includes firewall, router, switches, Access Points.
Ensure all wired and wireless LANs are secured, properly configured, and functioning well in a way that minimizes network outages and congestion.
Develop, update and implement country-specific IT policy and procedures whenever needed.
Preserve organizational assets by setting up a secured and reliable data backup system. Restore in case of data loss.
Identify IT procurement needs at all office levels. Ensure they are included in the fiscal year budget plan and work with the team for timely delivery of technology products and services.
Closely work with the procurement person on the IT procurement process to have the right products or services as per the IT procurement
Maintain a good record of all Techno Serve/Ethiopia IT and communications assets, network. maps, accounts and. system level passwords, configuration files and others necessary documents.
Coordinate in-country IT activities for any regional or global initiatives which may impact or are impacted by information technology.
Oversee interruption and performance issue of internet connection for timely resolution by maintaining relationship with service provider.
Deliver effective IT services to main and branch/project
Resolve IT issues and concerns for in-country personnel. This may be in the form of telephone based support, Email, remote application or may require travel to field offices to perform troubleshooting on-site.
Provide technical support for staff related to network connectivity, corporate applications, Conference system, telephone system (PBX), printers, 4G apparatus, GPS, Camera etc.
Configure PCs for new employees, create user account records in any relevant systems, and orient new users on IT systems and policy.
Configure tablets and smartphones for intended purpose. Provide technical advice and support to best utilize the device.
Build staff capacity and awareness on new technology and IT systems available in the organization.
Plan, organize and support to establish network systems when new branch/project offices are opened.
2 : Business Advisor 2
SKILL AN D EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Agricultural Economics, Finance, or a related field; another degree combined with 5 years or more of relevant working experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
At least three to five years’ professional work experience, with a strong preference for working in the private sector. No prior coffee-specific experience is required (we provide training)
Strong planning and organizational skills and experience working to deliver quality work outputs within strict timelines
Well-developed computer skills and technology-friendly
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
Entrepreneurial with strong problem-solving skills

About the role:
Reporting to the Business Program Manager, the Business Advisor 2 (BA2)’s principal objective is to increase the performance of the processing station (wet mill) clients in terms of quality, processing efficiency, cost effectiveness, traceability, and adoption of sustainability standards. You will support wet mill owners/exporters to improve their internal management systems, increase coffee quality and profitability.
Responsibilities under this role include:
Provide training and business coaching to wet mill owners and wet mill staff
Deliver a standard set of quality processing techniques, sustainability, and bookkeeping training to wet mill staff and owners
Support clients to implement actions and measures to achieve compliance with sustainability standards and good processing practices
Conduct on-site performance audits for sharing with owners
Provide feedback on operational costs and provide cost performance benchmarking
Provide advice on the setup of strategically locating purchasing points and encourage direct-to-site deliveries
Encourage good management and good governance practices
Support the implementation of a digital bookkeeping and/or traceability system
Support the development, adaptation, and review of various technical materials such as lesson plans, audit questionnaires, data collection tools, fact sheets, and business profiles.
Support monitoring and evaluation activities such as collecting various data streams such as cherry harvest progression, wet mill revenues and expenses; market and price information Stakeholder Management and Program Representation.

Create a good working relationship with stakeholders and hold meetings with the Coffee and Tea Authority, the Agricultural Office, and the Trade Office at the woreda level
Support the expansion of the wet mill program into different woredas
Support efforts in making the wet mill program more gender inclusive and conflict-sensitive using local customs
Be a program ambassador in the operational area
Provide support to project operations as required
