USAID supports partners to address critical humanitarian needs of populations affected by conflict and climatic shock—including drought and floods—across Ethiopia.

The Climate and Natural Resource Management Advisor is part of the Economic Growth and Resilience (EGR) Office and as the Mission’s lead representative on climate issues and technical direction. Reporting to the Sustainable Environment Division Chief and the Economic Growth and Resilience Office Chief, they advise on policies advancing USG and Government of Ethiopia (GoE) objectives, particularly in enhancing technical applications of and enabling environments for climate and natural resource investments.

Position: Climate and Natural Resource Management (CNRM) Advisor

WORK EXPERIENCE: A minimum of seven (7) years of international development and/or international business work experience is required.

MARKET VALUE: $ 88,520 to $115,079, equivalent to GS-13. The final compensation will be negotiated within the listed market value based on the successful candidate’s salary history, work experience, and educational background. Salaries over and above the top of the pay range will not be entertained or negotiated.

Deadline: August 6th 2024

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as sustainability, natural resource management, climate-smart agriculture, sustainable finance, low carbon development, or other related field
